Care and Repair

At Sosuke Takie, unless otherwise specified, all metal parts are made of Silver925 or higher.
Please refer to the following for instructions on how to care for silver products.
As we also have many pearl products, we will include care instructions for them as well.
Please clean them regularly to ensure they can be cherished and enjoyed for a long time.


｜Care Instructions｜

Silver
・If left uncleaned with sweat or sebum, discoloration may occur.
After use, wipe with a dry, soft cloth and store in a sealed bag to prolong its shine.
・For surface dirt or noticeable tarnishing, gently polish with a silver-specific polish and cloth to restore its luster.
・Chloride reaction with chlorine and sulfide reaction can cause tarnishing and discoloration.
Therefore, always remove silver jewelry when using chlorine bleach, seawater, pools, or hot springs.
　*If it comes into contact or is immersed, do not leave it, rinse with water, and wipe it off promptly.


Gold Plating
・Silver is plated with 18K Gold.
・After each use, gently wipe with a soft cloth and store in a plastic bag or cloth pouch to minimize exposure to air.
　*Do not use abrasive cloths, as they can strip the plating.
・With continued use, the plating will gradually thin and the color will fade.
If you wish to enjoy gold again, we offer re-plating services.
If you prefer to enjoy the silver base metal, we can also polish it to a beautiful finish.

Pearls
・Freshwater pearls are soft and vulnerable to sweat and impact, so gently wipe off any dirt with a soft cloth.
*Do not use abrasive cloths, as they can damage the pearls.
・Many products have pearls attached to silver, but when cleaning, be careful not to let abrasive cloths or polish touch the pearl parts.


｜Repairs｜

・While some items are eligible for repair and others are not, for those that are,
products purchased from us will generally be repaired as many times as needed.


Please note that for re-plating, polishing to a clean finish, and repairs, customers will be responsible for the actual costs and handling fees.
